Kickball
Quick Intro
Kickball is a fun, easy-to-learn game that combines elements of baseball with simple rules, where players kick a rubber ball, run the bases, and work together to score runs. Its relaxed pace and minimal equipment make it accessible for all ages and skill levels. Playing kickball with friends and family encourages physical activity, laughter, and teamwork without the pressure of intense competition. Whether it’s a backyard game, a schoolyard match, or a casual league, kickball brings people together, builds confidence, and creates joyful memories through play, inclusion, and shared fun.
Rules of Kickball
Kickball is played with two teams, a large rubber ball, and four bases set up like a baseball field. One team kicks while the other team fields. A pitcher from the fielding team rolls the ball underhand toward home plate, and the kicker tries to kick the ball into fair territory. After kicking, the player runs to first base and may continue around the bases if it’s safe. Fielders try to get the kicker out by catching the ball, tagging the runner with the ball, or throwing the ball to a base before the runner reaches it.
Each team kicks until three outs are made, then the teams switch roles. A run is scored when a player safely touches all four bases and returns to home plate. Games are usually played for a set number of innings or a time limit, depending on the group. Kickball emphasizes fun, teamwork, and fair play, making it a great game for players of all ages and skill levels.
