Whether it’s a casual backyard match or cheering together from the sidelines, soccer brings people together, builds confidence, and creates lasting memories through cooperation, fun, and a shared love of the game.
Rules of Soccer
Soccer is played with two teams of eleven players trying to score by kicking the ball into the opponent’s goal. Players use their feet, head, or body to move and control the ball, but only the goalkeeper may use their hands, and only within the penalty area. The opposing team defends by blocking shots, intercepting passes, and tackling the ball away while following rules that limit excessive physical contact.
A goal is scored when the entire ball crosses the goal line inside the net. The game is played in two timed halves, and the team with the most goals at the end wins. Play is continuous, with restarts such as throw-ins, corner kicks, and goal kicks when the ball goes out of bounds. Soccer emphasizes teamwork, skill, and fair play, making it accessible and enjoyable for players of all ages and experience levels.
